Manchester United are monitoring Porto's Diogo Costa and Athletic Bilbao's Unai Simon as they aim to replace David de Gea next summer.
De Gea is currently the club's first choice between the sticks, but the 31-year-old's contract is due to expire at the end of the campaign.
United manager Erik ten Hag has recently refused to guarantee that the Spaniard will be staying with the club beyond this season.
Amidst this, The Athletic report that Ten Hag wants to sign a ball-playing goalkeeper and the club are looking at multiple transfer targets.
Among them, Porto's Costa and Athletic's Simon are considered as the main options for the Red Devils ahead of next summer's transfer window.
De Gea is currently one of the highest earners in the Premier League at £375,000-a-week. He is willing to accept a huge pay-cut to stay.
Ten Hag will make the final decision to either keep him or pursue a younger goalkeeper, who is more comfortable playing out from the back.
