Arsenal to sign Youri Tielemans in January?

Arsenal could make a January approach to sign Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans, according to Rudy Galetti.

The Belgian was heavily linked with the Gunners last summer, but a deal did not materialise before the transfer deadline.

The Foxes wanted around £40m for his services, and the Gunners did not want to pay the fee as his deal expires in June 2023.

Tielemans started the season in a slow fashion but over the past few weeks, his form has been quite spectacular with goals.

As a result, it appears the Gunners have revived their interest in signing him and they may seek to negotiate a deal in January.

The north London giants have exceeded expectations in the current campaign and they are top of the Premier League.

Mikel Arteta will no doubt be backed with funds in the New Year and Tielemans could be a priority target for Arsenal.

Aside from a midfielder, the Gunners are likely to sign a winger this winter.
