Eden Hazard updates on his Real Madrid future
Former Chelsea star Eden Hazard has reiterated that he has no plans of leaving Real Madrid during the January transfer window.
The Belgian joined the European champions from the Blues over three years ago, but he has yet to establish himself at the club.
The 31-year-old has made just 72 appearances amid injuries and competition for places. He has been an unused substitute many times.
This has led to suggestions that he could leave at the turn of the year, but Hazard has said that he has no plans of quitting the club.
He told reporters on Monday afternoon: "I don't want to leave Real Madrid. Maybe my situation will change after the World Cup."
"I want to play but it's the manager who makes his choices. I accept, but I want to show him that I deserve to play more. When you don't play it's difficult."
Newcastle United have been regularly linked with him, but it appears Hazard is prepared to honour his contract which expires in June 2024.
