Chelsea favourites to sign Cristiano Ronaldo in January?

Chelsea are reportedly favourites to sign Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo during the January transfer window.

The Portuguese has had a turbulent season with the Red Devils and recently came with an explosive interview with Piers Morgan.

The 37-year-old said that he felt betrayed by United last summer and does not have any respect for current manager Erik ten Hag.

It is likely that his deal will be terminated soon and The Sun claim that the Blues could be among the favourites to sign him.

Blues owner Todd Boehly wanted to bring the Portuguese to Stamford Bridge last summer, but Thomas Tuchel declined.

With Tuchel being sacked, Boehly could revive his pursuit of Ronaldo, who could now be available on a free transfer this winter.

Ronaldo has also been linked with Paris Saint-Germain and Sporting Lisbon, but the latter simply can't afford to meet his wage demands.

The striker has his sights on playing Champions League football next year.
