Liverpool want to sign Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount?
Liverpool are reportedly keeping tabs on Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount ahead of a possible approach next summer.
The England international has been a pivotal player in the Blues ranks and has made over 175 appearances in all competitions.
However, his future remains uncertain at the current point of time with the hierarchy yet to meet his contract demands.
Mount is currently on around £75,000-a-week and he is eyeing in excess of £200,000-a-week to sign a long-term deal.
However, the Blues are reluctant to offer more than £140,000-a-week and this has apparently led to an impasse in negotiations.
Chelsea are still hopeful of keeping Mount, but could be forced to sell him when he enters the final year of his deal next summer.
Liverpool are keeping a close eye on the contract status of the Blues graduate but they are not alone in monitoring him.
Juventus and Bayern Munich are also admirers of Mount, who is currently part of the England squad for the winter World Cup.
