Man Utd set to beat Arsenal to Dutch attacker?
Manchester United are reportedly leading Arsenal in the race to sign PSV Eindhoven star Cody Gakpo in January.
The Red Devils were hot in the pursuit of the Dutchman last summer, but decided against signing him after the huge outlay on Antony.
However, this has not ended their interest in his services and Foot Mercato claim that they are planning a renewed approach this winter.
PSV have increased their asking price to €60m for the 23-year-old but this will reportedly not hamper United's chances of landing him.
Erik ten Hag was determined to sign the Netherlands star last summer, and he has now told the hierarchy to prioritise him for January.
Arsenal have also been linked with the exciting forward, but the north London giants are unlikely to compete with the Red Devils for him.
Their focus is currently on the defensive midfield department and they have no plans of entering a bidding war with United for the Dutch attacker.
