Ten Hag wants Gakpo at Man Utd

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has reportedly urged the hierarchy to sign Cody Gakpo from PSV this winter.

The Dutchman has been in fantastic form for PSV this term with 13 goals and 17 assists from just 24 appearances.

He has carried over the form to the World Cup finals where he has scored against both Senegal and Ecuador.

It is now reported by ESPN that Ten Hag wants to sign the 23-year-old, having missed out on his services last summer.

The manager was keen on landing the Dutchman earlier this term, but United ran out of budget after Antony's arrival.

They are now expected to revive their pursuit, considering the untimely departure of Cristiano Ronaldo on a free.

The club have saved around €18m from his pre-mature exit and they could use the funds to purchase Gakpo in January.

PSV are open to parting ways with Gakpo if they receive around €50-60m during the upcoming transfer window.
