Arsenal expected to make fresh move for Brazilian

Arsenal are expected to make a fresh approach to sign Palmeiras midfielder Danilo in the New Year.

The Gunners wanted to land the 21-year-old from the Brazilian outfit in the summer, but they were reluctant to do business.

Palmeiras were at the top of the league table and they did not want to lose out on the title by parting ways with Danilo.

However, their stance has now changed with their season complete and Jorge Nicola claims that Arsenal are in contact.

The north London giants are big admirers of the young midfielder and they are ready to swoop for him at the start of 2023.

Danilo was valued at €25m earlier this year and it is claimed that the Gunners could prise him away for a similar fee.

AS Monaco and Ajax are also interested in the defensive midfielder, but the Gunners may have the upper hand in the race.

Sporting director Edu Gaspar has a good association with Palmeiras and the Gunners are optimistic that the player will join them.
