Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount has turned a contract offer worth £200,000-a-week, according to The Daily Mail.

The England international has been the Blues' best creative player over the past three years, but his future is currently uncertain.

His contract is due to expire in the summer of 2024, and the Blues have yet to convince him to put pen-to-paper on a renewal.

The Blues made him an offer of around £200,000-a-week before the World Cup but the proposal has been deemed insufficient.

It is reported that the 23-year-old is eyeing close to £300,000-a-week in order to commit his long-term future to the London giants.

Chelsea remain confident of convincing him to stay at the club, but the likes of Liverpool, Real Madrid and Bayern are keeping tabs.

Liverpool in particular are big admirers of the England star as he has been able to adapt to different midfield roles for club and country.

Mount will hold fresh contract talks with Chelsea in January.
