David to Manchester United?

Manchester United will reportedly need to pay £43m to land Jonathan David from Lille in the upcoming transfer window.

The Red Devils have been touted to sign a new marksman in January after mutually parting ways with Cristiano Ronaldo.

They have been linked with the likes of Memphis Depay and Marcus Thuram and it is now claimed that David is on their radar.

According to Florian Plettenberg, the Red Devils have been monitoring him for a while and are now planning an approach.

Lille are not reluctant to sell him during the winter transfer window, but it would take £43m to persuade them to do business.

David has been in good form for Lille this campaign. He has registered nine goals and three assists from just 15 appearances.

His progress has caught the eye of the Red Devils, but they are not alone with Chelsea also admirers of the Canadian star.

United may need to move fast for the former Gent man or else, the Blues could jump ahead of them in the player's pursuit.
