Barcelona planning bid for Marc Cucurella?
Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella has been linked with a possible return to Barcelona during next summer's transfer window.
The Spaniard only joined Chelsea in the summer from Brighton, but there are already suggestions that he could move on from the club.
According to Estadio Deportivo, Barcelona are putting together their squad for next season and Cucurella is under consideration.
The Spaniard started his youth career with the Blaugrana and the club consider him as a potential upgrade in the left-back role.
Alejandro Balde is presently the first-choice in the position for Xavi with Marcos Alonso and Jordi Alba being the back-up options.
Both Alonso and Alba have been fancied to leave the club next summer and it remains to be seen whether they can land Cucurella.
While the player would be open to a reunion, the Blues could refuse to grant him a move after the huge £60m outlay to sign him.
Cucurella is currently contracted to Chelsea until June 2028.
