Arsenal to swoop for Hakan Calhanoglu?

Arsenal are considering Inter Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu as a potential January transfer target, according to Inter Live.

The Gunners are currently enjoying their best-ever start to a Premier League season, and they are five points clear of second-placed Manchester City.

The club's hierarchy are prepared to support Arteta this winter, and there are claims that the Spaniard could be provided with around £50m to spend.

A number of players have been linked over the past few months, and it is now claimed that the Gunners could enter the race for Calhanoglu.

The Turkey international has been with the Nerazzurri for the past couple of years but there is now an uncertainty over his future at the club.

He has made just two starts in the Serie A this campaign and Inter Live claim that he could be sold for around £26m in the New Year.

Arteta is said to be interested in adding more quality and depth for the title challenge and Calhanoglu would be a shrewd signing for them.
