Arsenal make transfer decision on Danilo

Arsenal end Danilo interest

Arsenal have no plans of signing Palmeiras midfielder Danilo when the transfer window reopens next month.

The Gunners were eager to land a new midfielder last summer and they had enquired over the availability of Danilo.

Palmeiras were not willing to sell midway through their campaign but they are open to offers at the turn of the year.

The London giants have been fancied to sign him, but The Athletic claim that the club have cooled their transfer pursuit.

Danilo's form has been very average since the summer. He was not included in Brazil's 26-man World Cup squad.

The Gunners are now looking at alternative options as they aim to bolster their midfield for their title challenge.

Lazio's Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has been linked over the past few weeks, but could be an expensive purchase.

The Serie A outfit are reluctant to lose him for less than £80 million which could deter the Gunners in the pursuit.

The Serbian has apparently given the green light for a transfer.
