Arsenal revive interest in signing Spanish star

Arsenal could make a fresh approach to sign Barcelona forward Ferran Torres after the knee injury sustained by Gabriel Jesus.

The Spaniard was on the Gunners radar during the 2022 winter transfer window, but he ended up joining Barcelona from Manchester City.

The club failed with another approach to land him last summer, but Fichajes report that the London giants have not given up on their pursuit.

Mikel Arteta's side need to fill the void left by Jesus' absence and they are prepared to make a fresh move for the Spanish star.

Torres started regularly for the Blaugrana last season, but he has fallen out-of-favour during the course of the ongoing campaign.

He has played just 750 minutes of first-team football and the Catalans could be tempted to sell him at the beginning of the New Year.

The Spanish giants are currently restricted from registering any new players. They must recoup funds from sales to lift the temporary ban.
