Mudryk wanted by Arsenal

Arsenal will need to pay a significant transfer fee to sign Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk in January.

The Ukrainian was heavily linked with the Gunners earlier this summer, but they refused to meet the €50m valuation.

Mudryk has since had a superb season with 18 goal contributions and Shakhtar have now doubled their asking price.

The Gunners are unlikely to meet their demands but they are optimistic of paying around €60-70 million up front.

Mudryk has openly admitted that he would like to work under Mikel Arteta and has been closely watching the club.

It will be interesting to see whether the Gunners can convince Shakhtar to lower their transfer demands for him.

Mudryk has been hugely impressive with his dribbling and raw pace. He has been dubbed as the Ukrainian Neymar.

The 21-year-old can play anywhere in the attack, but has been largely operating from the left wing this campaign.

Mudryk is said to be determined to join the Gunners in January.
