Chelsea set to sign Ivorian striker from Molde
Chelsea are set to land the signature of Molde striker David Datro Fofana in a deal worth £8.5 million, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Blues are desperate to bolster their centre-forward department and they are now on the verge of signing Fofana from Molde.
The 19-year-old has been hugely impressive in Norwegian football and he has a stunning 28 goal contributions in the current year.
Brighton & Hove Albion were in talks to sign the Ivorian youngster last month, but the Blues have now hijacked their pursuit.
A transfer is expected to be announced in the coming weeks, and he could be integrated into the squad for the back end of the season.
The Blues recently suffered a major setback with Armando Broja suffering a knee injury that has ruled him out for the rest of the campaign.
Fofana should provide quality cover in his absence. The Blues may well have signed a star for the future with his huge potential.
