Chelsea to make shock move for Cristiano Ronaldo?
Chelsea could make a shock approach to sign former Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo this winter.
The Blues were heavily linked with the Portuguese star last summer, but manager Thomas Tuchel blocked a potential approach.
Tuchel has since been replaced by Graham Potter in the dug-out and the Blues could make a fresh move for Ronaldo next month.
The club recently suffered a huge setback with striker Armando Broja suffering an anterior cruciate knee ligament injury.
As a result, he has been ruled out for six to seven months and Chelsea desperately need a solution for the back end of the season.
Ronaldo is currently a free-agent after his release from United last month. He is presently training in a separate ground at Real Madrid.
Los Blancos don't have any interest in signing him, but Ronaldo is hopeful of receiving an offer from a Champions League side soon.
Chelsea could be tempted to sign him for the rest of the campaign.
