Chelsea working on new deal for midfielder
Chelsea are keen on committing midfielder Jorginho to a new long-term contract, according to Evening Standard.
The Italian star has been a key player for the Blues over the past four years and he continues to be highly-rated under manager Graham Potter.
He is currently about to enter the final six months of his deal, but the Blues are determined to discuss a new contract with him.
Jorginho has already snubbed a two-year renewal with the London giants and he is said to be eyeing at least three years.
The onus is on the hierarchy to meet his demands or else he could sign a pre-contract with an overseas club in the New Year.
Barcelona are most interested in landing his services and reports claim that they have already held talks with his representative.
The Catalan giants see him as a replacement for captain Sergio Busquets, who has been touted to move to Major League Soccer next summer.
