Chelsea star Reece James suffer fresh knee injury

Chelsea have been dealt a huge blow with Reece James suffering a recurrence of his knee injury.

The England international suffered the setback in early October and this forced him to miss the World Cup in Qatar.

He managed to make his comeback in time for the season restart but unfortunately sustained a fresh blow.

James was substituted in the 53rd minute against Bournemouth yesterday and left the stadium wearing a knee brace.

It is now confirmed by The Telegraph that he has had a recurrence of the same injury and could be out for a month.

The news is a big blow for the Blues, who have lacked creativity from the right flank in the absence of James.

The Blues graduate also provides more defensive assurance from the role and the club will definitely miss him.

It will be interesting to see whether the Blues enter the transfer market for a new right-back signing to provide cover.

James should not be rushed back to action based on the latest setback.
