Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku speaks about his future
Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has revealed his ambition to continue with Inter Milan beyond the ongoing campaign.
The Belgian rejoined the Blues from the Nerazzurri for £97m last year but he had a tough season with just 15 goals in all competitions.
As a result, he was allowed to return to the Serie A outfit on loan and he has now talked up the possibility of sealing a permanent deal.
He told Sky Sport Italy: "I spoke to Chelsea about my relationship with the coach and I decided to come back to Inter."
"Things went very fast and I'm happy. I hope to stay at Inter, Inter for me is everything. But we need to find a way with Chelsea."
Lukaku developed a strained relationship with manager Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea and this paved the way for his departure.
Tuchel was replaced by Graham Potter earlier this campaign, but Lukaku has no plans of returning to Stamford Bridge again.
Inter could propose another loan deal after the current one concludes. They could sign him in the long-term for the right price.
