Badiashile to sign for Chelsea this Tuesday

Monaco defender Benoit Badiashile is to sign for Chelsea this week, with the centre-back flying to West London to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical tomorrow. The full French international has caught the eye at Monaco since his debut in 2018, and has spent five years working his way into the club's starting XI on a regular basis.

Chelsea are to pay 40 million euros for the defender, with further installments worth an estimated 5 million depending on performances for the club.

The 21-year-old left-footed defender is one of Europe's most coveted defenders and Chelsea will be delighted to have finally agreed a deal for the player.

It is hoped that Wesley Fofana will partner Badiashile at the heart of the Blues' defence for years to come, when the eventual day that Thiago Silva does retire arrives.

Chelsea are expected to be one of Europe's busiest clubs this January, with a host of names linked with a move to the Bridge. Badiashile will likely be unveiled as a Blues player this Tuesday, should personal terms be agreed tomorrow.
