Arsenal won't overpay for Felix

Arsenal like the idea of signing Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix during the current transfer window, according to The Athletic.

The north London giants are aiming to strengthen their attack this month and they could make a couple of signings.

Shakhtar winger Mykhaylo Mudryk is the priority target for the club, but they could also attempt to land a striker.

Felix has been on their radar for some time and it is now reported that they have expressed an interest in him.

However, a deal is currently far off, considering the hefty financial demands.

Atletico are ready to sanction his exit on loan, but they are eyeing a fee of around €15m for the temporary deal.

On top of this, they want the Gunners to pay his half-yearly wages of around €6m as part of the short-term agreement.

The Gunners are unlikely to meet such demands. A move may only happen if there is a significant reduction in the fee.
