French left-back Adrien Truffert has already appeared once for the France national side, and that trust bestowed upon him by manager Didier Deschamps is indicative of the talent the Rennes star possessess. The 5 foot 9 left-back has caught the eye in Ligue 1 with a number of wonderful displays, and numerous top clubs have been monitoring the defender's progress.

Truffert began his career at French minnows Jousy St Prest, before a move to Chartres followed. Rennes spotted the youngster in action when he was 14-years-old and eventually signed him to a professional deal when he was 19-years-old. Since then, Truffert has risen to Rennes' first team and played 67 times, scoring four goals in Ligue 1. He is an established first-team regular.

Paris St Germain are amongst the clubs who have sent their senior scouting team to monitor the player's progress, but even Arsenal and Manchester United are known to have kept an eye on the development of Truffert.

Truffert was born in Belgium, but decided to play for France's international setup. The player is very versatile, he is also able to play as a right-back or even as a left-winger, adding further attacking impetus for Rennes.

With a value of 15 million euros already, regular first team football will only see the youngster's stock rise.

Truffert is a good all around defender, who has some pace, but is most admired for his crossing and passing abilities. He is a hard-working left-back who is disciplined in defence, his positioning in particular has caught the eye in Ligue 1, as well as his excellent work rate.

Whilst Truffert has already made his first appearance for the French national side, expect more accolades to follow. The defender is very likely to be a regular on the team sheet for his country in the future.
