Arsenal consider loan deal for Tammy Abraham

Tammy Abraham news

Tammy Abraham a shock loan target for Arsenal this January

Arsenal are weighing up the prospect of a loan transfer move for Tammy Abraham. The England international, currently playing for Serie A giants Roma, is an Arsenal fan and is ready to return to the Premier League once more, after spending 17 years with boyhood club Chelsea.

News that the Gunners could swoop for the Roma striker will likely disappoint the Blues' fans, who were delighted that Abraham elected to leave the Premier League in favour of Italy.

Arsenal are hoping to sign at least one forward during the January transfer window, and a deal for Mykhaylo Mudryk appears to have stalled after Mudryk's club Shakhtar Donetsk demanded in excess of 90 million euros for the left-sided winger. The Gunners also have been linked with a move for Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix, but it appears the club now want to bolster their striking options, despite Eddie Nketiah having scored two goals in three Premier League games.

Abraham has played 53 times for AS Roma, scoring 20 goals, and the 6 foot 3 striker hopes a return to England's top flight will catch the eye of national team boss Gareth Southgate, as Abraham looks to add to his 11 caps for England.
