Arsenal in advanced talks to sign Mykhaylo Mudryk
Arsenal are reportedly in advanced negotiations with Shakhtar Donetsk over the transfer of Mykhaylo Mudryk.
The 22-year-old has been the Gunners' number one target for the January transfer window and the club are now negotiating the final fee.
They have accepted to meet the €100m asking price set by the Ukrainian outfit, but are optimistic of reducing the initial fee to be paid.
According to Calciomercato.it, the Gunners are almost done with the discussions and a transfer could be announced in a short while.
Mudryk has been a revelation for Shakhtar this campaign. He has amassed 10 goals and eight assists from just 18 outings for the club.
The Ukrainian is a left winger by trade but manager Mikel Arteta will be aiming to develop him by playing him on either flank at Arsenal.
Aside from Mudryk, the Gunners were keen on Atletico's Joao Felix but unfortunately, the Portuguese is set to join Chelsea on a short-term loan deal.
