Man Utd planning surprise signing before deadline
Manchester United are planning a surprise late signing before the transfer window closes on Tuesday night.
The Red Devils have signed Jack Butland and Wout Weghorst on loan this month and there could be another arrival.
According to The Daily Mail, the club have plans of bolstering their attack with another forward but only on a short-term loan.
The hierarchy are also reluctant to spend big and it remains to be seen whether they can find a player matching their requirement.
Memphis Depay was an option for them at the beginning of January, but he has now made the permanent switch to Atletico Madrid.
Meanwhile, Borussia Monchengladbach's Marcus Thuram does not want to leave his club until his contract expires in the summer.
United don't have any concrete targets at the moment and the next few days could give a fair idea whether they will sign anyone.
The Red Devils are currently fourth in the Premier League with 39 points.
