Chelsea make Conor Gallagher transfer decision
Chelsea have reportedly turned down the opportunity to sell Conor Gallagher to Newcastle United on deadline day.
The England international has been a key player for the Blues this term and they appear keen on keeping hold of him.
With a deal for Enzo Fernandez yet to be finalised, the club don't want to lose Gallagher without a quality replacement.
Meanwhile, it is reported that the Blues are reluctant to do any business with Newcastle either before the transfer deadline.
The Magpies are the Blues' main rivals for a top-four Premier League finish this term. They don't want to strengthen them.
Hence, Gallagher is set to stay with the club until the end of the campaign before considering a fresh challenge elsewhere.
It is highly unlikely that the Blues graduate will continue next term with the club eyeing several midfield signings in the summer.
Aside from Fernandez, the west London giants are keen on landing Moises Caicedo and Declan Rice at the end of the season.
