Arsenal pushing to sign La Liga midfielder?
Arsenal are stepping up their efforts to sign Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Spaniard was heavily linked with the Gunners last month, but a transfer did not materialise due to two reasons.
Sociedad did not want to sell him for less than his £54m release clause while the midfielder was not keen on leaving.
While Zubimendi was flattered by the Gunners interest, he did not want to part ways with Sociedad at the halfway stage.
However, the scenario could be different at the end of the campaign and reports claim that Arsenal are already upping their interest.
The Gunners are already in talks with the Spanish outfit and remain positive of signing the midfielder for a reduced fee.
Aside from Zubimendi, the club have their sights on pursuing West Ham United captain Declan Rice during the summer.
The England international has been touted to leave the Hammers and could be available for a fee of around £80 million.
