Manchester United identify De Gea replacement?

Manchester United have identified Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier as a potential replacement for David De Gea, as per The Sun.

De Gea has had another top season for the Red Devils and talks are currently underway with him over a new long-term contract.

Despite this, the club's hierarchy are looking into the future and it is claimed that they want Meslier as the long-term replacement.

Meslier has developed into one of the best shot-stoppers in the Premier League and he could be available for cheap if Leeds are relegated.

The Whites are currently lying 19th in the standings and things are looking gloomy for them with no wins in the last 10 league games.

Regardless of what happens at the end of the season, Meslier looks likely to head for the exit door. United will be hoping to land him.

Apart from the Red Devils, Meslier has also been linked with the likes of Barcelona and Bayern Munich. They are keeping tabs.
