Mikel Arteta provides injury update on Leandro Trossard

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided an injury update on Leandro Trossard following the dramatic Premier League win against Bournemouth.

The Belgian has been a key player for the Gunners since his January arrival, contributing one goal and two assists in the top-flight.

Trossard made his third straight start earlier on Saturday, but he was substituted early in the opening half with an evident injury.

The attacker walked straight down the tunnel after a brief chat with Arteta and the Gunners boss has said that he will be assessed soon.

He said: "It is a worry. He came to me straight away and told me he could not continue because he’d felt something when he was tracking back after the corner. We have to assess him and see how he is."

Arsenal came from two goals behind to beat the Cherries. Reiss Nelson scored a dramatic 97th minute winner for the north London giants.

The victory has preserved the club's five-point lead over Manchester City at the top of the table with 12 more games left in the campaign.
