Nelson reacts after dramatic Arsenal winner

Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson has expressed his delight after scoring a dramatic late winner against Bournemouth.

The Gunners went 1-0 down after just nine seconds on the clock and before the hour mark, the Cherries doubled their advantage.

However, the north London giants fought back with goals from Thomas Partey and Ben White before the last-gasp winner.

With just seconds left on the clock, Nelson unleashed a stunning left-footed strike from the edge of the box to beat Neto.

Nelson only came on after the hour mark but he was hugely influential. He also bagged an assist for the second goal too.

Speaking after the game, he said: "It dropped onto my right. I wanted to hit it with my laces on my right but I saw the defender coming out."

"I decided to shift it onto my left and then just had to hit through it, aim for the top bins. I’m just happy it went in. I’m delighted with it."

Arsenal have now won 15 points from losing positions in the Premier League - the most by any team in the current campaign.

The victory has ensured that they remain five points clear of Manchester City at the top of the standings with 12 games to play.
