Man Utd and Chelsea want Brighton star?
Manchester United and Chelsea could go head-to-head to sign Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo this summer.
The Ecudorian handed in a transfer request in January after Arsenal made a formal £65m bid to sign him from the Seagulls.
However, their proposal was rejected outright and Caicedo recently put pen-to-paper on a new long-term contract at Brighton.
Arsenal have now turned their attention to West Ham United's Declan Rice, but it appears Caicedo continues to remain on demand.
According to Florian Plettenberg, the 21-year-old could leave the South Coast outfit this summer despite his fresh contract renewal.
The journalist added that United and Chelsea are among the main admirers of Caicedo, who has been dubbed as the new N'Golo Kante.
Brighton were unwilling to sell him for £65 million last winter. They are expected to demand close to £100m for the midfielder this summer.
It will be interesting to see whether Chelsea or United match that price, considering they are walking a tight rope with Financial Fair Play.
