Eddie Howe wants to sign Arsenal and Man Utd stars
Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe is keen on signing Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney and Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay this summer.
Tierney has had limited game time this season following the arrival of Oleksandr Zinchenko. This has led to speculation that the left-back could pursue a fresh challenge.
The same is the case for McTominay. The Scot started the season as the number one choice in the defensive midfield role, but has lost his place to Casemiro.
It is now reported by The Athletic that both players are on the radar of Howe and the Magpies could make a formal move to sign them in the next transfer window.
Tierney could be available for a fee of around £30 million while there are suggestions that United could hold out for £40m to part ways with McTominay.
Newcastle are aiming to qualify for next season's Champions League such that they can attract more high-profile players. They are currently four points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur with two games in hand
