Chelsea defender suffers fresh injury in Everton draw
Chelsea defender Wesley Fofana was substituted against Everton after picking up a hamstring injury, according to Standard Sport.
The Frenchman recently made his comeback from a long-term knee injury and has been hugely impressive with his displays.
However, it appears he has now suffered another setback on the playing field and this could rule him out of the internationals.
Fofana recently earned his maiden call-up to the national team, but he could be forced to pull out following the muscular injury.
Chelsea have suffered numerous injury blows throughout the season and they are currently without one of their main stars in Thiago Silva.
Silva sustained a knee injury against Tottenham Hotspur last month and he is only expected to return in the middle of April.
Hence, the Blues will want to handle Fofana's situation with caution and they are likely to ask his withdrawal from the France squad.
Chelsea are currently 10th in the Premier League with 38 points.
