Man City resigned to losing midfielder to Barcelona?
Manchester United are resigned to losing midfielder Ilkay Gundogan to Barcelona at the end of the campaign.
The Germany international has been a key player in the centre of the park for City, but he is willing to move on.
His current deal expires at the end of June and Gundogan has shown no intention to put-to-paper on a renewal.
Barcelona have been speaking with his entourage for some time and Sport cite that he could sign for them for free.
The Catalan giants are currently banned from registering players by La Liga until they reduced their wage bill by €200m.
This is expected to pave the way for some big-money exits and Gundogan would be a superb low-cost signing for them.
The German is already 32 years of age, but he has shown no signs of slowing down and remains a world-class star.
Arsenal have also been linked with Gundogan, but he clearly has the preference to move away from English football.
