Man Utd planning stunning swoop for Brighton star?

Manchester United are reportedly planning a surprise swoop for Brighton & Hove Albion striker Evan Ferguson.

The 18-year-old has had a brilliant breakthrough season with the Seagulls and he has scored seven goals from 16 outings.

The youngster has also provided three assists for the South Coast outfit and it is now claimed that United are keen on him.

The Red Devils are planning an overhaul of their striking options this summer and they could part ways with Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst.

Martial has been largely injury-prone this term and the hierarchy are seriously pondering over the prospect of selling him.

Meanwhile, Weghorst has netted just two goals from 18 games in his loan spell and United may decide against a permanent deal.

Hence, the club could pursue two strikers in the next transfer window and Ferguson would be a superb young acquisition.

The major stumbling block towards the deal could be Brighton, who may not sell him for anything less than £50 million.
