After Reece James, Kai Havertz returns early from Germany duty
Chelsea forward Kai Havertz has left the German national setup after being sidelined with a bout of flu.
The 23-year-old has been the Blues' main goalscorer with nine goals this campaign. He is now doubtful for next weekend.
Havertz has been sent home by Germany before their friendly against Belgium and it is unclear whether he will recover in time.
If he is unavailable, manager Graham Potter may stick with Joao Felix in the false number nine position against Aston Villa.
Chelsea have had a poor Premier League campaign and they have accumulated only 38 points over their 27 games.
They are currently 11 points behind the Champions League places and look unlikely to recover the deficit in the next 11 outings.
Hence, it is about damage limitation for them. Potter will want to end the season on a high with an improved run of displays.
Chelsea are still in the Champions League but with Real Madrid to face in the quarter-final, they are most likely to be eliminated.
