Man Utd enter talks to sign Arsenal midfield target

Manchester United have reportedly entered talks to sign former Arsenal target Houssem Aouar this summer.

The Red Devils are expected to make multiple signings in the next transfer window and a creative midfielder could be one of those.

Aouar was previously on the radar of Arsenal in 2020 and 2021 and it is now reported that United are looking to land his services.

The Frenchman's contract with Lyon expires at the end of the season and he is expected to wait until the summer to pick his next club.

Eintracht Frankfurt were initially favourites to land him, but they are no longer in the race amid their slump in the German Bundesliga.

Aouar is determined to play for a Champions League club next term and United may have to qualify for the competition to sign him.

At the moment, they are fifth in the Premier League, but are only goal difference behind fourth-placed Tottenham with two games in hand.
