Chelsea to turn down Julian Nagelsmann?

Julian Nagelsmann news

Chelsea owners have doubts over Nagelsmann

Chelsea could reportedly turn down the opportunity to appoint Julian Nagelsmann as their new head coach.

The Blues recently dismissed Graham Potter from the managerial role and Bruno Saltor has been placed on interim charge.

The club are likely to take their time to pick their next manager but reports claim that Nagelsmann could be ignored.

The German is a free-agent following his recent dismissal from Bayern Munich but there are concerns surrounding his age.

The hierarchy don't want to appoint a 35-year-old in the dug-out and are looking for someone with a higher pedigree.

Spain's Luis Enrique and Mauricio Pochettino are among candidates that could take the hot seat at the end of the season.

Chelsea have had a disastrous Premier League season and they are presently lying 11th in the standings with only 38 points.

They look set to miss out on Champions League football unless they go on to win the competition itself against all odds.
