Chelsea confident of striker deal without UCL football?
Chelsea are confident of landing Napoli striker Victor Osimhen this summer even if they miss out on the Champions League.
The Nigerian has been in stellar form for the Serie A giants this term, bagging 25 goals and five assists from 30 matches.
His form has caught the eye of many clubs and 90min claim that Chelsea are currently leading the pursuit of the player.
The Blues have followed him over the past 18 months and believe he would be the perfect acquisition for the number nine position.
It is added that they are optimistic of convincing him to join them even if they don't qualify for next season's Champions League.
Chelsea are currently 17 points behind the top four and they are unlikely to qualify for the Champions League through their division.
Meanwhile, they are trailing 2-0 to Real Madrid following the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final tie at the Bernabeu.
Barring a miracle, the Blues look set to be eliminated this week. Still, they are positive about their chances of signing Osimhen.
