Man Utd suffer fresh injury blow in Nottingham Forest win

Sabitzer injured for Man Utd

Manchester United suffered a fresh injury blow during the 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Red Devils picked up a third-straight win by beating Forest on the road but prior to the game, they suffered another setback.

Marcel Sabitzer was initially named in the starting line-up but was forced to withdraw after suffering an injury in the warm-up.

As a result, Christian Eriksen was asked to start in a short notice. The Dane looked comfortable despite his limited match fitness.

United have suffered a mid-season injury crisis and they are currently without several big names including Marcus Rashford and Lisandro Martinez.

Raphael Varane, Alejandro Garnacho and Luke Shaw are also on the sidelines. Tyrell Malacia picked up a knock in midweek.

Despite this, they had a comfortable outing against Forest and they have now moved to third in the standings with 59 points.

The Red Devils will now turn their attention to the second leg of the Europa League quarter-final tie vs Sevilla. The first leg ended 2-2.
