Erik ten Hag confirms Man Utd star is doubtful to face Spurs
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed that Bruno Fernandes is doubtful to face Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday.
The Red Devils travel to north London for tomorrow's Premier League clash and ahead of the game, they have suffered a setback.
Fernandes picked up a knock to his right ankle in the FA Cup semi-final and he was spotted wearing a protective boot on Monday.
Ten Hag has now revealed that the boot was precautionary and Fernandes will be assessed ahead of tomorrow's game in London.
The Portuguese has had a fantastic fitness record in his career and he has not missed a single game through an injury setback.
The 28-year-old will be hoping to continue the run against Spurs. Fernandes should make the XI if he passes the late fitness test.
United are currently fourth in the standings with 59 points, five ahead of Aston Villa, who have played three games more.
Hence, they are in a strong position to qualify for the Champions League and can increase their chances with another win.
