Man Utd and Chelsea vying to sign Nigerian star

Manchester United and Chelsea could go head-to-head to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen in the next transfer window.

The Nigerian has been a revelation for the Serie A giants this term, bagging 26 goals from 33 matches in all competitions.

Ahead of the summer, he has his sights on a Premier League move and both United and Chelsea have him on their radar.

United are yearning for a new centre-forward with the likes of Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst having failed to impress.

It has been a similar situation for the Blues with Kai Havertz and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang barely making an impression.

Hence, both clubs need a top-class striker ahead of next season and they could compete for the services of Osimhen soon.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has reportedly made it clear that he won't compensate on the €150m fee for the centre-forward.

However, he could accept a lesser sum up front with easy bonuses. United could be favourites to sign him with Champions League football.
