Chelsea to push for Argentine striker this summer?

Chelsea could make an ambitious move to sign Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez in the summer transfer window.

The Blues have had a poor Premier League season and they are currently 12th in the table with only 39 points on the board.

A new striker is a must for the London giants and football.london claim that they could make a big-money move for Martinez.

The World Cup winner has had a superb season for Inter, bagging 23 goals and nine assists from 48 games in all competitions.

The Nerazzurri are not actively looking to sell him but the scenario could change if they miss out on Champions League football.

In that case, he could be available for around £70 million and it is claimed that incoming Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino has given the green light.

Pochettino is expected to make decisions over the transfer spending this summer and he is prepared to work with the Argentine.

Chelsea won't get him easily with competition from Manchester United. They have Martinez as an alternative to Harry Kane.
