Chelsea in pole position to sign Barcelona winger

Chelsea are reportedly favourites to sign Raphinha from Barcelona this summer.

The Blues agreed to sign the Brazilian from Leeds United last summer, but he refused to accept personal terms.

Raphinha was adamant that he wanted to join Barcelona and he eventually got his wish after a short waiting time.

The forward has since scored 10 goals and 11 assists but it is claimed that he could leave the Blaugrana soon.

The Catalans are preparing for the return of Lionel Messi. For that to happen, they require a big-money departure.

Raphinha seems the most likely candidate to head for the exit door and Chelsea are prepared to pounce on him.

The London giant signed Noni Madueke to bolster the right wing in January but they are eyeing more competition.

Christopher Nkunku, who is expected to arrive this summer, can play in the role but Raphinha is a proper specialist.

He has a proven Premier League record and would be a superb signing for Chelsea if they can convince him to join.
