Liverpool planning to sign Arsenal target for free

Liverpool are reportedly planning to sign Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans on a free transfer agreement.

The Belgian was heavily linked with Arsenal in the last summer transfer window but a move never materialised.

The Gunners have cooled their interest in signing him but Tielemans could still secure a big-money move this summer.

His current deal with the Foxes expires at the end of the season and reports claim that he is unlikely to pen a renewal.

Liverpool are currently prioritising a deal for Alexis Mac Allister but they are also on the look out for bargain purchases.

Tielemans is apparently one of the names on their radar and it remains to be seen whether they make a formal contract offer.

Juventus and Inter Milan are among other candidates that could attempt to sign the Belgian on a Bosman deal this summer.

Arsenal could also renew their interest in his services soon but the final decision may depend on manager Mikel Arteta.
