Man Utd now pushing to sign World Cup finalist

Adrien Rabiot news

Rabiot on his way to Man Utd?

Manchester United are now pushing to secure the free transfer signing of Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

The Frenchman was on the radar of the Red Devils last summer and a transfer fee was agreed between the teams.

However, United failed to agree personal terms with the player and they ended up signing Casemiro instead.

Casemiro has been a revelation this campaign but L'Equipe claim that United are set to return for Rabiot again.

Rabiot's current deal expires in June this year and he is free to negotiate personal terms with foreign clubs.

United are pushing to sign him as soon as possible with manager Erik ten Hag identifying him as an important target.

Personal terms may not prove a concern for the Red Devils this time, particularly with no transfer fee involved.

Newcastle United are also interested in landing his services but United should be favourites to secure his signature.

Ten Hag and Rabiot were in contact last summer. The Frenchman was reportedly impressed by the project presented.
