Man Utd set £40m price tag for experienced star

Manchester United have set an asking price of £40 million for Harry Maguire amid interest from West Ham United.

The 30-year-old had a difficult 2022/23 season with the Red Devils, making just 16 starts across all competitions.

As a result, he has been linked with a summer exit, but it appears United are unwilling to let him go on the cheap.

The Hammers recently made an opening bid of £20m, but the proposal was immediately turned down by the club.

United are likely to pursue a replacement if Maguire leaves them.

Axel Disasi has been heavily linked in recent weeks, but the Frenchman is now on the verge of joining Chelsea.

The Blues reached an agreement in principle to sign him from Monaco today. They will pay around £40m.

As things stand, Maguire looks set to continue with the Red Devils next season unless a solid offer arrives.

The centre-back has no issues in staying at the club, and he is willing to fight for his position next season.
