Arsenal interested in signing Spanish goalkeeper?
Arsenal are reportedly exploring the transfer of Brentford goalkeeper David Raya this summer.
The Gunners currently have Aaron Ramsdale and Matt Turner as their main goalkeepers, but the latter has been linked with an exit.
Turner is attracting interest from Nottingham Forest, and there are suggestions that the USA international could be sold for £15 million.
Amidst this, The Athletic claim that the Gunners are lining up an ambitious move for Raya, who is eyeing a bigger challenge elsewhere.
Brentford currently want £40m for his services, but the north London club are likely to propose a lesser fee with his deal expiring next summer.
Raya has been a long-term target for the Gunners, and he was initially linked in 2021 before the club signed Aaron Ramsdale instead.
The speculation has cooled in recent years, but it appears Arsenal are back in the hunt for their long-term target. Raya is keen on the move.
It remains to be seen whether this has any impact on Ramsdale's minutes as Raya is unlikely to join as a pure back-up to the Englishman.
