French defender undergoes Chelsea medical
Monaco defender Axel Disasi has successfully undergone his medical with Chelsea, according to L'Equipe.
The Frenchman has been one of the best centre-backs in Ligue 1, and he is now expected to join the Blues.
He was initially on the radar of Manchester United and Newcastle United, but the Blues beat them to his services.
The west London giants have agreed to pay £38m for the 25-year-old, and a transfer should be made official soon.
Disasi has successfully completed his medical with the Blues, and he is expected to sign his contract tomorrow.
Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino has made it clear that he wants to complete the transfer business before the new season.
The club have been slow in securing their prime targets, but talks are nonetheless ongoing with respective clubs.
Chelsea are currently in contact with Brighton over Moises Caicedo, and remain optimistic of signing him soon.
Brighton for now have refused to lower their price tag for the Ecuadorian. They currently value him at around £100m.
